High but constant numbers come from today’s regional newsletter on the trend of the virus in Puglia: according to information from the Department of Health Promotion, in fact, in the last 24 hours of 8,461 swabs for the Covid-19 coronavirus infection, they are 1,350 cases registered today (84 less than yesterday) compared to a greater use of the tests carried out (yesterday they were 8,252), for a percentage of 16% positive compared to the total examined.
The infections detected are divided as follows: 472 in the province of Bari, 67 in the province of Brindisi, 176 in the province of BAT, 269 in the province of Foggia, 113 in the province of Lecce, 239 in the province of Taranto, 11 residents outside the region, 3 cases from province of unknown residence. Unfortunately, 22 deaths are added to these figures: 10 in the province of Bari, 12 in the province of Foggia.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 639,491 swabs have been performed, 8234 patients cured and 22,511 positive today.
The total number of Covid cases in Puglia is 31,792, divided as follows: 12,789 in the province of Bari; 3,433 in the province of Bat; 2,189 in the province of Brindisi; 7,396 in the province of Foggia; 2,356 in the province of Lecce; 3,385 in the province of Taranto; 240 attributed to residents outside the region; 4 province of unknown residence.
Asl’s Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
