Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, 161,163 positive cases have been registered in Emilia-Romagna, 1,692 more than yesterday, out of a total of 15,906 swabs made in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons manufactured since yesterday is 10.6%. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 742 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 356 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 526 were identified within known foci. The average age of new positives today is 45 years. Of 742 asymptomatic patients, 382 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 75 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 12 with serological tests, and 6 through prehospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 267 cases. These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the evolution of the epidemic in the region.
PIACENZA – The cases verified in Piacentino amounted to 14,789 (+148 compared to yesterday, of which 69 symptomatic). There are also nine deaths (5 women of 76, 80, 83, 84 and 85 and 4 men of 77, 86, 91 and 101). The number of people admitted to intensive care remained unchanged (14).
CONTAGION – The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 436 new cases, then Modena (291), Reggio Emilia (180), Piacenza (148), Ferrara (139), Rimini (134), Ravenna (117), Parma (85), the Cesena area (74), the Imola district (46) and Forlì (42).
INFECTED IN DETAIL – These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 14,789 in Piacenza (+148 compared to yesterday, of which 69 symptomatic), 12,539 in Parma (+85, of which 66 symptomatic), 22,355 in Reggio Emilia (+180, of which 91 symptomatic), 29,260 in Modena (+291, of which 190 symptomatic), 32,044 in Bologna (+436, of which 239 symptomatic), 5,134 cases in Imola (+46, of which 20 symptomatic), 8,437 in Ferrara (+139, of which 34 symptomatic), 11,694 in Ravenna (+117, of which 74 symptomatic), 5,602 in Forlì (+42, of which 30 symptomatic), 5,489 in Cesena (+74, of which 58 symptomatic) and 13,820 in Rimini (+134, of which 79 symptomatic). After verifying the data communicated in recent days, 1 case (in Bologna) was eliminated because it was considered not COVID-19.
HISPITES AND SEROLOGICALS – In the last 24 hours, 15,906 swabs were made, for a total of 2,485,596. To these are added 525 serological tests and 3,559 quick swabs performed since yesterday.
HEALED – As for the total number of people healed, there are 2,341 more than yesterday. Therefore, the total number of cured is 96,529.
ACTIVE CASES – Active cases, that is, actual patients, have dropped to 57,299 to date (-725 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in home isolation, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, total 54,380 (-634), 94.9% of the total active cases.
DEATH – Unfortunately, 76 new deaths are registered: 14 in Bologna (7 men, two of whom are 75 years old and the other 67, 70, 84, 86 and 89 years old and 7 women of 78, 83, 87, 88, 90, 93 and 98 years), 12 in Modena (7 women, two of whom are 93 years old and the remaining 72, 78, 85, 92 and 96 years old and 5 men of 64, 79, 83, 86 and 87 years old), 10 in Ravenna (6 women aged 80, 84, 88, 89, 93 and 96 years old and 4 men aged 80, 91, 96 and 100 years old), 9 in Piacenza (5 women of 76, 80, 83, 84 and 85 and 4 men of 77, 86, 91 and 101), 9 in Ferrara (5 men of 60, 77, 78, 87 and 93 and 4 women of 71, 80, 93 and 94), 9 in Rimini (7 women of 81, 84, 85, 88, 92, 94 and 96 years and 2 men aged 69 and 76), 7 in the province of Forlì-Cesena (5 men aged 71, 78, 79, 85 and 97 and 2 women aged 87 and 94), 3 in Parma (2 men aged 70 and 89 years and 1 woman of 88 years), 3 in Reggio Emilia (3 men of 63, 83 and 84 years). In total, 7,335 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
INTENSIVE CARE – There are 201 patients hospitalized in intensive care (-6 compared to yesterday), and also those from the rest of the Covid departments, a total of 2,718 (-85). In the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 14 in Piacenza (unchanged from yesterday), 12 in Parma (-2 compared to yesterday), 17 in Reggio Emilia (-1), 45 in Modena (no change), 51 in Bologna (-2), 5 in Imola (no change), 16 in Ferrara (no change), 19 in Ravenna (no change), 3 in Forlì (no change)), 1 in Cesena (-1) and 18 in Rimini (no change).
