Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, 34,833 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 122 more than yesterday, of which 62 asymptomatic were identified as part of regional contact tracing and detection activities.
The control and prevention activity continues: of the 122 new cases, 58 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution and 62 were identified in the context of known outbreaks.

Of 62 new asymptomatic patients, 30 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 26 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 4 thanks to prehospital screening, 1 identified through serological tests and 1 of which the scope is not yet known diagnosis.
Unfortunately, there is a new death: a 75-year-old man in Ferrara.
Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Parma (27), Bologna (26), Piacenza (16), Reggio Emilia (14), Modena (10) and in the district of Imola (12).

In the province of Piacenza, there are 16 new positives: 8 refer to returns from abroad (5 from Romania, 1 from Albania, 1 from Egypt and 1 from Morocco), 2 after checks of foreign citizens requesting asylum, 1 for the contact of a pre-existing outbreak, 3 for swabs at emergency room access, 1 for symptoms, 1 for workplace screening.
In the province of Reggio Emilia, out of 14 new cases, all in home isolation, 5 are sporadic, 6 attributable to family outbreaks, 2 swabs because they are a professional category at risk, and 1 returns from abroad (Moldova).
In Imola district, of 12 new positives, 8 are attributable to known family outbreaks and 4 are sporadic cases.
In the Modena area, out of 10 new positives, 1 returns from abroad (India), 7 are contacts of known cases, 2 are sporadic cases
These are the data, verified at 12 noon today based on institutional requests, related to the advance of the epidemic in the region.
The swabs made are 10,040, for a total of 1,131,423. To these there are also 2,148 serological tests.
Active cases, that is, the number of actual patients, is 4,651 to date (+ 24 compared to yesterday).
People isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment, or are asymptomatic, are a total of 4,444 (+29 compared to yesterday), 95% of active cases. The number of patients in intensive care decreased, which in total are 18 (-2), and those hospitalized in the rest of the Covid wards: 189 (-3).
The total of people cured amounted to 25,701 (+97 compared to yesterday): 8 “clinically cured” (stable compared to yesterday), that is, they were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 25,693 those declared cured in all aspects. because it tested negative on two consecutive tests.
