In Venice there is no history: Luigi Brugnaro, outgoing mayor and center-right candidate, is confirmed for another five years as head of Ca ‘Farsetti. The center-right candidate – we are in 243 polled sections out of 270 – is firmly in the lead with 54.1% of the votes against Pier Paolo Baretta, a center-left candidate, still below 29.5%. It should be noted that the first party in the city of the lagoon is the civic list of Brugnaro, with 31.8% of the votes, then the Pd (192%), Lega (12.4%), Fratelli d’Italia ( 6.6%)). The 5Stelle movement stops at 4% even below Green Progressive (5%). Voting in Reggio Calabria: the outgoing center-left with Giuseppe Falcomatà stops at a low 37% (we are half naked) against Antonino Minicuci’s low 34% of the center-right. In Trento the center-left wins in the first round, Franco Ianeselli exceeds 54% of the votes and the center-right, Andrea Merler, stops at 30.4%. Bolzano instead goes to the ballot between Renzo Caramaschi, center-left, with 34% and Roberto Zanin, center-right, with 33%. In Andria there are traces of the grillini, who have disappeared from the radar, taking Michele Coratella to the polls with 21% compared to the center-left candidate Giovanna Bruno (38.4%). While in Trani the center-left wins in the first round: when we have 42 sections of the 54 scrutinized, Amedeo Bottaro exceeds 65% of the votes against 16% for the center-right candidate Filiberto Palumbo. If in Mantua the outgoing Matteo Palazzi (Pd) is confirmed with 71%, in Macerata the victory of the center-right is glimpsed with Sandro Parcaroli above 52% when there are 6 sections of 44 to scrutinize (in this link the results in real time).

LAZIO

With third world slowness, the thirty-six municipalities of Lazio that came to vote to elect new mayors and new municipalities are being scrutinized.

The count began this morning at 9 and 18 at night, the data is still largely incomplete.

PROVINCE OF ROME

Among the 11 municipalities with more than 15,000 inhabitants that, although there are still many sections missing on the Ministry of the Interior website, present a picture already outlined, there is Albano Laziale where a clear victory for Massimiliano Borelli is in sight.

With a participation of more than 67%, when there are still 5 sections of 34 remaining, Borelli has already risen with the victory, standing firmly above 53% and surpassing the center-right candidate, Matteo Orciuioli who remained below 38% of the votes. Long-term municipal councilor (first election in 1996) and since 2010 uninterrupted president of the city council, Borelli is also a councilor in the Metropolitan City as well as one of Nicola Zingaretti’s men of reference who had him on his staff when he was president of the Province from Rome and then again in the Lazio Region and succeeds Nicola Marini, for two terms mayor in the action of Pd de Albano.

Another municipality where, despite being slightly more than half naked (10 sections of 19), the unevenness is abysmal is Colleferro. Here the outgoing mayor Pierluigi Sanna is confirmed without a doubt with more than 75% of the preferences, compared to the low 15% of Rocco Sofi (Lega and Fratelli d’Italia) and the low 7% of Mario Cacciotti (Forza Italia).

Instead, we will go to the polls in Genzano di Roma, where with 18 sections counted out of 21, the center-left is in the lead with the candidate Carlo Zoccolotti (36%) and the second to the center-right, Pierluigi Rosatelli (30% ). The 5 Stelle that had won in 2016, disintegrating in less than two years, do not exceed 6%, remaining last in the race after the two civic candidates Flavio Gabbarini (16%) and Roberto Borri (15%).

For the other municipalities with more than 15 thousand inhabitants of the Roman area -Anguillara Sabazia, Ariccia, Rocca di Papa and Zagarolo- the count is particularly late and in any case none of the candidates comes even remotely close to the 50% necessary for the election in the first round, mandatory voting in fifteen days.

PROVINCE OF LATINA

In the province of Latina, I always undress slowly. In Fondi, with 17 sections out of 33 scrutinized, the center-right candidate supported by Forza Italia and Lega, Beniamino Maschietto, is 49.91% with the possibility, therefore, of winning in the first round. Behind him, Luigi Parisella, supported by three civic lists, is just below 18% while the other center-right candidate, Giulio Mastrobattista, supported by the Brothers of Italy, is just below 14%. The candidate of the Democratic Party, Raniero De Filippis, manager of the Lazio Region, is penultimate with 8.2% behind the civic Francesco Ciccone (8.3%) and ahead of Giuseppe Manzo, 5 Stelle, standing just by above 2%.

In Terracina we are two thirds of the count of the 45 sections of the city and there is a complete confrontation in the center-right for the vote between the candidate of the Brothers of Italy, Roberta Tintari, attested to around 44% and the candidate of Lega and Forza Italia, Valentino Giuliani, just 35%.

FROSINONE

The only municipality that votes with a population of more than 15 thousand inhabitants is Ceccano. The sections scrutinized are 15 out of 20 and the victory in the first round of Roberto Caligiore, outgoing civic mayor who fell due to an internal frond, a candidate for the center-right who from the beginning has never dropped below 50% and is witnessed in 51 , 73% of the votes.

VITERBO

Even in the Viterbo area there is only one municipality of more than 15 thousand in the vote: Civita Castellana, where the North League player Franco Caprioli was elected last year, who resigned a few months later due to health problems and an internal branch . Only one section is missing and a second round is likely, given that the center-right candidate, Luca Giampieri, misses the victory in the first round, stopping at 49.86% of the votes. If so, it will be a ballot with the candidate Pd, Domenico Midossi, second with 21.3% of the votes.
