BOLOGNA – In the last 24 hours, Covid19 in Emilia Romagna has killed another 61 people. The total since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 6,447. The good news comes from the analysis of the contagion trend. The weekly transmission index fell again, to 0.81 against 0.99 last week.
Compared to yesterday, 1,211 new positives were registered in the region (total 141,010), compared to 17,459 swabs performed (total 2,294,410), 1,640 serological tests, and 2,030 quick swabs.
The dead
4 in the province of Piacenza (two men aged 89 and 75 and two women aged 85 and 89); 2 in Parma (two women aged 78 and 85); 5 in Reggio Emilia (all men 62.83.85.90.70 years); 9 in Modena (5 men of 72.77.60.69.92 years and 4 women of 97.62.92.66 years); in the province of Bologna there are 13 (of which 5 men of 86,78,63,86,96 years and 8 women of 82,94,79,94,82,94,83). CASE Analysis
Of the newly infected, 695 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities; 206 were already isolated at the time of the swab run, 407 were identified within known outbreaks. The average age of new positives is currently 45.7 years.
Of the 695 asymptomatic, 333 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 61 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 8 with serological tests, and 9 through pre-hospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 284 cases.
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 361 new cases, Reggio Emilia (198), Modena (112), Ferrara (101), Piacenza (92), Ravenna (88), Rimini (86), Parma (77) , in ‘Imola 61 and follow Cesena (23) and Forlì (12).
Cured and hospitalizations
The total number of people cured is 1,811 more than yesterday and reaches 70,508.
The patients admitted to intensive care are 231 (+2 compared to yesterday), 2,812 those from the rest of the Covid departments (-33).
The positives by province of diagnosis
16 in Piacenza (+3 compared to yesterday), 17 in Parma (-1), 26 in Reggio Emilia (-1), 51 in Modena (-2), 56 in Bologna (+5), 8 in Imola (number without changes compared to yesterday), 18 in Ferrara (no change), 14 in Ravenna (no change), 4 in Forlì (-1), 2 in Cesena (no change) and 19 in Rimini (-1).
