In Campania 1,127 Covid infections. As of today possible closure and closure of schools

Campania today has exceeded a thousand infected (1,127), it had never happened since the beginning of the New Coronavirus pandemic in Italy (there is also the record of swabs to date, about 13 thousand). As of today, therefore, it is possible that, with this progression of infections, the Campania Region with its president Vincenzo De Luca, in concert with the government led by Giuseppe Conte, decides the closure of non-essential activities and the possible closure or limitation of the activities of schools in Campania with the reintroduction of distance learning. So this time we would really have the much dreaded Covid-19 second wave regional lockdown. After all, it was De Luca himself who spoke of closures in 800 net infections.

The rationale for the decision is simple.: With the exponential increase in the number of infections, inevitably a percentage will end up in the hospital, especially among the weakest groups: the elderly and people with previous serious pathologies. Campania is already in crisis due to insufficient number of beds, the health system is already on the ropes today. Therefore, it is necessary to stop infections in any way so as not to reach a critical peak beyond which it is only necessary to count on the care capacity of other regions. Currently the Region speaks of 110 intensive care places in total (very few) and 60 occupied.

The Campania Region in its bulletin has begun to specify the number of symptomatic and asymptomatic to the virus, probably to indicate that the number of people who contract Covid has increased but without having to be hospitalized. Obviously, one can contract the virus, remain asymptomatic, and then begin to experience fever and other unpleasant signs.
