CAMPODARSEGO. In mourning in Campodarsego, Giorgio Bonato passed away on Friday night at the Padua hospital. He was 67 years old and the son-in-law of Silvio Bano, who passed away a month ago at 88. Bonato was a retired blue jumpsuit for four years after working at Griggio and Maschio. He had been hospitalized on November 4 for a respiratory illness and transferred in 118 to Padua because the hospitals in the Alta area no longer had free beds. It is not known how he contracted the virus, an outbreak had developed in the family.

The pain is great but Ilaria has the consolation of having been able to see her father for the last time. “Fortunately, in Padua they activated an end-of-life protocol and I was the first, on Friday, to experiment with it,” she says, “they gave me the swab and the dressing with disinfection. They prepare you psychologically, they give rules to respect such as that there should be no contact. An exceptional head nurse took me to the bedside and showed me the parameters on the monitor. “

“Unfortunately, Dad had very low blood pressure, the maximum did not reach 87. But when I was able to talk to him, it reached 92. It was a great emotion to understand that Dad was listening to me and this will give me the strength to face his lack.
