Yesterday Daily fact wrote that Lapo Elkann was found in possession of cocaine by the carabinieri in Liguria on September 12 in Rapallo. The military hypothesized against him the crime of possession of drugs for trafficking purposes and reported to the Prosecutor’s Office. Public Minister Silvia Saracino, however, requested the presentation, “convinced that this quantity, given the personal history of Italy’s most famous tormented offspring, can be considered for all purposes an amount compatible with personal consumption.”

On the night of 12 September in Rapallo, a police patrol reportedly saw two men on the street, known to the police as drug traffickers. When the military approached for a checkup, one of the two escaped while the other threw 4 grams of cocaine on the ground. The man was later identified as Lapo Elkann, taken to the barracks to kidnap him and let him go. Then came the complaint. Today the Corriere della Sera, in an article by Giusi Fasano, says that Elkann is trying to master his weaknesses:

He does not call them addictions, but weaknesses, ghosts, demons. And every time it falls it’s because those demons have won a game, never the game. Lapo Elkann is like that, as his friends describe him, “almost no antibodies, zero self-defense mechanisms.” Someone who “is dealing with his addictions”, so to speak with those who spoke to him in recent days, “I try to tame them”, as he puts it.

The newspaper also reports the comment of Lapo’s lawyer, Giovanni Anfora:

“We are satisfied with the request of the Public Ministry and we do not want to comment on the facts in any way.”
