MOGLIANO – Yesterday – September 30 – the news of Gino Gaion’s death immediately spread to Mogliano, his home country where he was well known and where he has always lived with his family. Recognized entrepreneur, he began his career in the zootechnical field and then successfully launched into various activities in the construction sector that had led him, among many other projects, to see the rise of the Tiziano shopping center. Husband, father and grandfather, he was an active character in Moglianese life and for decades a member of the local Lions Club.

LIFE AND CAREER
Gaion, 79, was born and raised in Mogliano, where he attended school, then began working in a factory in Marghera. A few years later, he started a poultry farm business with his brother. A project that has grown considerably over the years and that has led him to invest in some other companies, including feed mills. Then the launch into the world of builders, with a long career that even today, together with one of his two sons, he personally carries out every day from the studio located near the town hall. The peak reached him at the head of Lualgi Srl based in via Boso, with the construction of the Titian and two years ago the project of the shopping center in the area of the old Villorba winery, which aroused strong reactions in the city. Since July 1978 he has been a counselor, treasurer and auditor of the Mogliano Lions Club. He lived in via Pavan and left his wife Mirella, their two children and grandchildren.

THE MEMORY
“He was a very generous, affable man, a splendid person reminded of Franco Buzzo, for a long time president of the Lions themselves. We were neighbors and, even more so, good friends. A true entrepreneur who knew how to build a solid and admirable career from scratch. He incredibly loved his job and despite his many commitments, he knew how to maintain long-standing friendships, even with old schoolmates. “One of the personalities of old Mogliano has passed away, a true businessman from Treviso and Veneto who has dedicated his entire life to work, adds Leonardo Muraro, former president of the Province. We have known each other for decades and even recently it has always continued to develop its activities. I do not give up not because I do not trust to let go of the reins, but because it is my passion and I want to put my experience at the service of those who succeed me, he always told me. He deserved his esteem for the foresight he has been able to have over the years, especially when he was among the first to understand and invest in the potential of the livestock sector. He could read situations, he was a great innovator. He died to retrieve the boards that he feared might cause harm to others. An extreme gesture that shows the attention to others that has always distinguished him. He didn’t deserve an ending like that. “
