In November they would celebrate 75 years of marriage. They had been together for almost eighty years, and had been engaged for four before the wedding. A very solid love, able to overcome the storms of life, seasoned with sacrifices, the fear of war, the fatigue of emigration. A feeling capable of overcoming obstacles, that not even death could break. Because Gildo could not bear the pain of being separated from his life partner and wanted to join her in the afterlife. Clorinda Bortolussi, 94, was the victim of a trivial fall on July 26. Fatal bleeding had occurred due to the anticoagulant drug she was taking.
THE SUFFERING
Her husband never recovered from his death. A strong man, with a temperament of steel, in excellent health compatible with his 97 years, he remained destroyed of the loss of the loved one. From not being able to see her at all times, talk to her, share the simplicity of their days together. They lived in their home in Albina without the need for caregivers.
