Even the the animals go to school. It happened in Brescia in the Bettinzoli Kindergarten where, upon reopening, a young iguana specimen who had found his home between hedges and lawns of the school garden.
After receiving several reports of sightings, the military of the Investigation Unit of the Environmental Police, Agrifood and Forestry of the Carabinieri Forestale di Brescia Group have confirmed the presence of exotic chestnut and they got it back.
It was about an iguana about 5 years old probably abandoned, a phenomenon that is not unusual for this type of reptile, considering that their maintenance is particularly difficult, since they need temperatures and humidity that in our latitudes can only be recreated artificially and with the help of special machinery.
The specimen was then confiscated and entrusted to the custody of a specialized structure. For abandonment there is a risk of imprisonment of up to 1 year or a fine of between 1,000 and 10,000 euros.
