Always open. They are among the commercial establishments that ‘resist’ the red zone, essential, and therefore very popular: they are the supermarkets to which the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Iss) dedicates a brief approach with some useful tips to avoid the risk of contagion of COVID-19.

Coronavirus: tips to protect yourself at the supermarket

The ISS recommends first of all: draw up a list to optimize the time spent in the store, and remember that before entering you should always wear a mask and disinfect your hands.

Inside the restaurant then -remembers the ISS- you must keep a distance of at least one meter from the rest of the clients and staff and follow the indicated paths. And again: always wear gloves to choose loose products such as fruits, vegetables, bread and never touch the products on display but only what you are going to buy. Last but not least: wash your hands as soon as you return home and after shopping.

It is not all. The ISS also dedicates space to a series of recommendations for the staff of supermarkets or food stores: scrupulously follow good hygiene practices that should also include cleaning management, access control in supermarkets, distribution of hand sanitizing products.
