The art. 8 of DD 499 of April 24, 2020 establishes the characteristics of the tests provided for common places and in particular sections 7, 8, 9 and 10 refer to the oral test and any practical test.
To prepare the tests (oral and possible practice), the commissions must refer to Annex A of Ministerial Decree 201 of April 20, 2020.
Test structure
Paragraph 7 of art. 8 of the DD defines the characteristics of the oral exam for common places.
The oral exam aims to know the candidate’s preparation according to what is established in Annex A of the Ministerial Decree and assesses the mastery of the disciplines, as well as the capacity for effective teaching planning, also in reference to ICT, oriented to achievement of the objectives expected by the current teaching regulations.
The same consists of planning an educational activity, including an illustration of the content, the teaching and methodological options made and examples of practical use of ICT.
During the test, the commission interacts with the candidate and also verifies the ability to understand and converse in English at least at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, with the exception of candidates for classes A-24 and A- Competition. 25 for the English language.
For the competition classes A-24 and A-25, on the other hand, the oral exam is carried out in the foreign language that is taught.
The oral exam has a maximum total duration of 45 minutes, excluding the practical test, without prejudice to any additional time referred to in art. 20 of the law of February 5, 1992, n. 104.
The practical test
The art. 6, paragraph 4 of Legislative Decree 57/2017 provides for the possibility of integrating the oral examination with a practical test. Annex A of Ministerial Decree 201 of April 20, 2020 establishes what kinds of competence the practical test provides and their characteristics, including the maximum duration.

Assessment of the practical oral exam and final score
For the evaluation of the oral exam, the commission has a maximum of 40 points.
The commission also has 40 points for the evaluation of the practical test.
The final mark of the oral exam is given by the arithmetic mean of the respective evaluations.
Candidates who obtain a minimum overall score of 28 out of 40 pass the oral exam.
