In many states, the quarantine period, usually 14 days, applies to those who come from abroad, including fellow citizens. But this tool is unlikely to be maintained during the summer: tourists must consider more than a month of vacation to enjoy the trip: two weeks to enter the destination country, another two weeks to repatriate. Complicated.
In fact, the UK has never completely closed its borders, except for a block that is still in force for flights from Wuhan and Lombardy. Greece, which lives off tourism, cannot afford a season under the sign of Covid and is seriously considering the idea of reopening everyone from July.
Italy, which is still fragile, remains closed for now. Anyone coming from other countries must comply with the obligation of self-isolation at home for 14 days, except for cross-border workers and health personnel.
