A dose of the Biontech-Pfizer Covid vaccine will cost 12 euros and Moderna’s. This was reported by the Flemish newspaper Het Laastste Nieuws, reporting in a post the statements of Eva de Bleeker, Belgian undersecretary of budget. The post was born out of an error by the undersecretary, who shared the prices via a screenshot and was then immediately deleted. But the Het Laastste Niews newspaper had already saved the image and immediately shared it again. However, these are reliable data, confirmed later by Pieter Liese, former member of the CDU Germany party and head of Health of the European People’s Party (EPP) group.
Modern vaccine, one dose blocks transmission. Burioni: “Covid will end polio”
According to Liese, in particular, the prices shared by the Flemish newspaper are “realistic”. According to shared data, the vaccine produced by Oxford / AstraZeneca is the cheapest, priced at 1.78 euros per dose. The vaccine against Covid Curevac would cost 10 euros per dose, the Sanofi / Gsk vaccine 7.56 euros, Johnson & Johnson 8.5 dollars. If the prices have so far been kept confidential, it was probably due to the fact that the Commission is still negotiating with Novavax. However, judging from other Twitter posts, the prices seem to have received the official one.
The prices of the anti-Covid vaccines according to the contracts concluded by the European Union:
Oxford / AstraZeneca: € 1.78
Johnson & Johnson, $ 8.50
Sanofi / GSK: € 7.56
BioNTech / Pfizer: € 12
CureVac: € 10
Modern: $ 18(Via@Hln ) https://t.co/TzPASEugKS
