Shortly after midnight, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s new Dpcm was signed after negotiations with the Regions. The fundamental principle is the one we have been talking about for days: the subdivision of the Regions into three areas, according to the risk of contagion, evaluated on the basis of 21 parameters. In this way you will have red areas, orange areas and green areas. The placement of each Region in one of these will take place in the next few hours.
At the moment, however, there are several rumors. Lombardy, Piedmont, Calabria, Alto Adige and Valle D’Aosta should all end up in the red zone. Campania is in danger. In the orange zone, on the other hand, there should be Puglia, Sicily, Liguria and, perhaps, Veneto. However, it is a very heavy “maybe”, because even in the orange areas the bars and restaurants, but also the shops, will be closed..
Uniform rules throughout the country. Distance learning will be 100% for secondary schools, shopping centers will be closed on weekends and holidays, museums, bingo halls, games and gambling will be closed, public transportation can be used up to 50% capacity and there will be a curfew from 22 to 5. You may order the closure of streets or squares to avoid crowds.
Red areas. The activity of bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors has been suspended, allowing home delivery and take away food until 10 pm. Common exceptions for highway restaurants, hospitals and airports. Distance learning also in second and third grade. Physical activity will only be possible near the house, sports activity can only be carried out outdoors and only individually. There are blocks for incoming and outgoing movements, but also for mobility between municipalities.
Orange areas. Also in this case the facilities will be closed, while face-to-face teaching can take place up to the eighth grade.
Green areas. Here only uniform provisions apply throughout the national territory.
