Here is the African heat: in Sicily peaks of 38 °

Climate-wise, a busy week opens in Italy, with the country split in two between thunderstorms in the north and an intense African heat wave in the south.

In the north, the unstable trend is confirmed due to a disturbance that will bring storms and a drop in temperatures. Some occasional downpours can also affect the Center, where, however, a stable climate will prevail even if it is sometimes cloudy.

A completely different story, however, in the south, where the arrival of a rather intense African heat wave from Wednesday to at least Saturday is confirmed, as confirmed by meteorologists at 3bmeteo.com. The peak will be especially between Thursday and Friday when warm weather records for Sicily, Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia are not excluded.

The Center was also involved, albeit to a more marginal degree. The climate will be more mitigated along the coasts, the Adriatic and Ionian species, thanks to the winds that will come from a still quite cold sea. The Tyrrhenian coasts of Sicily and Calabria will be an exception, where Scirocco winds can cause temperatures to rise even above 34-35 degrees.

Record heat in inland areas of Sicily, peaks above 38 degrees expected in Palermitano. Possible registrations for May in the southern regions: among the hottest cities in Palermo, Caltanissetta, Ragusa, Cosenza, Vibo Valentia, Potenza, Matera, Benevento, Caserta and Foggia.
