The SMEs that sell in Amazon stores, from June 2019 to May 2020 (including the period of the first closure) have registered average sales of more than 75,000 euros each and have sold on average more than 100 products per minute . These are the 14,000 Italian SMEs that sell on Amazon and that in 2019 registered foreign sales of more than 500 million. Of these, about 600 have exceeded a million dollars in total sales (in Italy and abroad). To date, the positive impacts recorded have allowed SMEs to create more than 25,000 jobs.

This is what Amazon’s 2020 Report reveals on the success of Italian SMEs with Amazon.it, which highlights the added value generated in favor of independent partners who use its services. The study starts from the analysis of the performance in the last year of the 14,000 Italian SMEs that sell through Amazon.it and highlights how the use of the online channel has helped them to maintain or grow their business even in a difficult period.
