Found dead at his girlfriend’s house in Caorle on Friday night. It is about a well-known bodybuilder, Alberto Clementi, 49, who allegedly fell ill in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom. After a few minutes, without seeing him return to the bedroom, the colleague would have gone to check his condition, but the bodybuilder would have been locked inside the room. Hence the alarm. In a few minutes the firefighters from San Don di Piave and 118 arrived at the scene. The firefighters had to break down the door, behind which they would have found Clementi lying on the ground.
Took some bottles
The carabinieri from Portogruaro also arrived at the house, where they seized bottles containing substances that were later sent to the laboratory for analysis. At the moment, however, there is no correlation between the seized material and the death of Clementi, on whose body there are not even signs of violence. Therefore, the most credible hypothesis seems to be that of sudden illness. The man’s body was transferred to the Caorle morgue as ordered by the Pordenone prosecutor Marco Faion, who has already instructed the coroner Antonello Cirnelli to carry out an autopsy to clarify the causes of death.
The long series of deaths
The news of Clementi’s death spread throughout Caorle, where he ran the Valchiria Gym and where he lived with his mother. It remains that Clementi’s death adds to a fairly long list of bodybuilders who died perhaps due to the use of prohibited drugs. The case, last year, of Daniele Pozzi, 23, a bodybuilder from Varese found lifeless in a hotel room in Padua, had won four medals in a national bodybuilding competition and was a security officer at the facilities between Lombardy and Switzerland.
Steroid Filled Body
The shadow of doping also weighs on the death of livorno Giancarlo Pesci -electricist and deejay, 44-, also a passionate bodybuilder: on August 21, 2019, after his partner raised the alarm at 112 because he did not answer the phone: Carabinieri found him dead in his bedroom. Syringes, vials and homemade medicines. Then Anna Milite, born in Salerno, 46, a waitress in Nocera Inferiore. In March 2019, he was hospitalized for a tumor. But doctors quickly realized that the woman, whose body was overwhelmed by exercises in the gym, was full of steroids. He went into a coma, died on July 28.
