All for a forgotten wallet. Last night, a bar owner fired a shot in the air to drive some customers away from his home after an argument that had escalated. Customers had shown up after the restaurant’s closing time, in Barriera di Milano, asking to be able to come in and check if they had lost a wallet there. An argument ensued that soon degenerated. At this point, the owner, a 60-year-old man, pulled out a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson and fired into the air.

The explosion immediately triggered the alarm: immediate intervention by some crews of the carabinieri radio unit activated by several calls to 112. The military detained the operator and inside his backpack they found the revolver, 5 bullets and a casing inserted into the drum. plus three other ammunition of the same caliber. After investigations, it was discovered that the weapon had been stolen in 2014 and for this reason the police sent it to the Ris de Parma to check if it had been used in the past to commit other crimes.

The bar owner was arrested for abusive possession and carrying of weapons, aggravated threat, and receipt of stolen property.
