Fano 12/22/2020 – Controls continue in the productive and commercial activities of compliance with the security and protection measures against the contagion of the coronavirus in the workplace.

The controls, as is known, are carried out by an inspection group established in the Prefecture of Pesaro and Urbino and coordinated by the Territorial Labor Inspection. The inspection team also includes representatives of the Inspection Unit for the work of the Carabinieri, ASUR and the Provincial Firefighters Command.

To date, more than 171 inspections have been carried out, involving in particular companies from the construction sector (29%), the manufacturing industry (36%) and the hotel and restaurant sector (19%). In 15 cases, the violations found led to the temporary suspension of the company’s activity. In 110, however, less serious violations were found, all of them promptly regularized. The main irregularities referred to the lack of updating of the regulatory protocol, the information obligations, the access methods of external providers and the methods of entry into the company.

“Until now, thanks to the excellent information and awareness-raising work carried out by the Territorial Labor Inspectorate and the effective agreements reached by unions and unions and the generalized sense of responsibility of the workers, it has been possible, especially in larger companies , to guarantee a more than satisfactory safety framework in the workplace, as well as the results of the control activities carried out by the inspection team. However “- adds the prefect Lapolla -” more and more frequent reports arrive that lead us to think that in many workplaces the attention threshold has been lowered. Hence the need for a greater immediate intensification of control and verification activities by the inspection group, which will be accompanied in the first weeks of January by new information campaigns carried out by the Territorial Labor Inspectorate ”.

“I am very grateful to all the members of the inspection team for their excellent work, which also allowed us to intercept some situations of total non-compliance with the non-covid regulations in the workplace, such as seriously endangering the health of the workers themselves. ”. – underlines the prefect Lapolla.

Meanwhile, the monitoring activity on compliance with the measures to contrast and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the territory of this province also continued this past weekend. On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December, 259 and 337 people were controlled respectively. There were 2 administrative infractions contested on Saturday and 4 on Sunday and one person was reported to the competent judicial authority.

During the two days, 194 commercial activities were also monitored (58 on Saturday, 136 on Sunday) with complaints of infringement.
