Three minors investigated (and no longer one as it was known to date) for the brawl with a large meeting that took place last Saturday in the Piazzale del Pincio in Rome, seized a weapon and the videos were sifted, which led to the Identification (via social networks) of almost all the participants in the events on Saturday, December 5.
The investigations, as the prefect of Rome Matteo Piantedosi had wished, who immediately defined the maxi struggle as “very serious”, were developed in a timely manner and on Thursday they were debated in the Provincial Commission for Order and Security.
The prefect Piantedosi, in addition to congratulating the Carabinieri of the Compagnia Roma Centro for the progress of the investigations, stressed the speed and efficiency of the investigators engaged in an analysis of the events considered especially “complex”.
Who are the three minors investigated
Therefore, the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office has for the moment entered two 14- and 15-year-old boys accused of aggravated bodily injury in the suspect register. They are joined by a third, still underage, 16 years old, from the eastern suburbs, investigated for the next beating, the one inside the Flaminio metro station.
The blows that began on the terrace, in fact, continued in the A subway station where the boy in the red jumpsuit filmed in the videos, after having lit the spark in the Pincio, this time he had the worst.
The previous story is also confirmed: the minors identified in the fight in Pincio have a “past” with the victim that does not go back more than ever to an attack that occurred in the street of Quadraro that, at that time, was already followed by a complaint. The carabinieri of the Compagnia Roma Centro, in constant contact with the Public Ministry of Rome, traced them to them thanks to the testimonies collected, including that of the teenager with a broken nasal septum, and the videos uploaded to social networks.
Seized suits and a gun
In the homes of the three suspects, the military confiscated cell phones and found the same clothes they were wearing at the time of the fights. The suits of the three have taken over. Not only because the Arma soldiers, on December 8, seized a pistol found in the house of one of the investigated boys (the 14-year-old).
Rome Police Commissioner Carmine Esposito called for the young man’s father’s firearms license to be withdrawn. In essence, the carabinieri, in a few days, thus gave a name to almost all the participants in the events on Saturday. However, the investigation continues to search for the “spark” that could be related to the attempted theft of a cell phone.
Pincio, Eur and special supervised metro stations
The reaction of the police was judged by the prefect “fast and robust”. Parallel to the investigations, the Prefecture does not exclude, thanks to the ongoing monitoring, an ‘extended’ surveillance for the next weekend in various areas of the capital to prevent young people from following up on what happened with a new encounter: the areas ‘red’. ‘are the Eur, the Pincio and the metro stations.
At the same time, social media will be scanned. Instagram, Telegram and TikTok, in fact, will be constantly monitored to analyze the veracity of some 2.0 threats that are widespread and shared these days.
