A new blockade will not be activated in Milan, at least now. Mayor Giuseppe Sala in connection with Milena Gabanelli’s Dataroom responds to the words of the health minister’s consultant Walter Ricciardi who spoke of the need to close the city, due to the high contagion curve. “I have not been consulted – he explained – I do not think that is the case with Ricciardi. I just received a text message from a virologist I trust very much, who says that yesterday there were about 80 intubated patients in Milan and 200 in Lombardy. The conclusion is that, even in the worst case, we would have between 10 and 15 days to decide on a possible blockade. The problem now, as the mayor explains, is the high number of hospitalizations that clog hospitals. But “I don’t think it’s unsolvable and that it should lead to a general lockdown now.”
