Half of Italy in the red zone (at least) until April 13

Middle Italy Will be in Red zone what’s more after easter: the confirmation comes from the weekly monitoring of the ISS, with which a improvement of the situation on a national scale (with the Rt index below 1.08).

For some regions, however, the tracking does not bring good news, What confirm the red zone even after Easter, at least until April 13. This depends on the new rules envisaged for the passage of a Region from an orange zone to a red one (and vice versa): the law, in fact, states that at least two weeks in red before being able to change to orange, a scenario that therefore has fewer restrictions. However, as long as there are at least two consecutive monitoring of the ISS where the data is compatible with the least demanding scenario.

In summary: who is in the red zone can change to orange only in the case of two consecutive monitors with orange numbers. So it was, for example, for the Lazio that gives Tuesday March 30 will go to the orange zone. And so it could be for him Campania, which – if the improvement found by the last monitoring is confirmed also next week – will move to the orange zone from Tuesday, April 6.

These, however, are the only two Regions that are currently close to the pass in the orange zone: for the others, in fact, at least another two weeks in the red zone; let’s see why.

Which regions remain in the red zone at least until April 13

Among the criteria for automatic passage in the red zone is the one for which theincidence of infections (weekly average) either more than 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

A threshold that, unfortunately, still exceeds many Regions, such as:

  • Friuli (410);
  • Piedmont (354);
  • Emilia-Romagna (351);
  • Lombardy (293);
  • Apulia (292);
  • Aosta Valley (291);
  • Walk (284);
  • Province of Trento (279);
  • Veneto (254).

Therefore, for these eight Regions, to which the Autonomous Province of Trento is added, the state of alert that justifies the red zone persists. The closest to a significant improvement is Veneto, for which, however, the red zone is still confirmed.

This means that in the best of cases, therefore, if the follow-up of the following week and the following one certify an improvement, the passage in the orange zone there will only be from Tuesday, April 13.

Until that date, we will surely have half of Italy in the red zone, since the two Regions that go to the red from next week are added to the 8 regions mentioned, that is to say Tuscany me Calabria. For these there is an obligation to stay in the red zone for at least two weeks, therefore also for them the return in orange, which in no case is taken for granted since it will depend on an improvement in the contagion curve, it will not be there before Tuesday, April 13.

Let’s remember then that in April there will be no Regions in the yellow zone, even if the data allows it. The new Covid Decree approved by the Draghi Government on Friday, March 26, in fact, it establishes a national orange zone for the entire month of April, with the possibility of only changing to red (and not yellow).
