There are those who hypothesized the presence of unknown murderers who, according to the defense and not only, could have brought alternative clues that could not have been thoroughly investigated by investigators in the days after the massacre. Among the main tracks initially there was only that of “Bad acquaintances” by Azouz Marzouk, the Tunisian with a criminal record who lost that night what he loved most in the world and who is not entirely convinced by the conclusions reached by 26 judges at three levels of trial.
The Erba carabinieri had considered the competitiveness of different ethnic groups among the first hypotheses in the deal business between Tunisians close to Azouz, who gravitated towards the municipality of Merone, and Albanians from Ponte Lambro, both towns in the province of Como and not far from Erba. The hypothesis was soon discarded because the carabinieri found no evidence. But no one had ever told him about the Tunisian rivalry, at that time, with another group that deals with the area.

The episode would have led to a real dispute between the two groups. And not only: “A Tunisian, Amer, always hid cocaine in the basement, (by Azouz and Raffaella, ed.) ”, says Kais again. “Because from the hiding places in the forest in front of Merone he often disappeared. Therefore, the man claims that quantities of cocaine were hidden in the basement of Raffaella and Azouz’s house, a stone’s throw from Piazza del Mercato, the store square in Erba.
According to Kais, it was not Rosa and Olindo who committed the massacre, because incompatible by construction, physical preparation, speed of execution for this type of massacre of sacrificed men and women: “There are 5 people, not one or two. Looking at Olindo and Rosa, it is not possible. Raffaella’s constitution was strong enough, it is not easy to tear it down. On the other hand, those Moroccans were aggressive in the way they drew their knives, I couldn’t imagine it, and I’m also an athlete so I know how to defend myself ”.
In recent years, the defense of Rosa and Olindo has asked the Supreme Court to analyze the findings found at the crime scene on three occasions and despite three favorable rulings in this regard, the Courts of Como and Brescia from time to time they did not consent to these analyzes.
And so for the fourth time the defense of Rosa and Olindo returned to the Supreme Court. “Unfortunately, the opposite news has arrived,” says Fabio Schembri, attorney for Rosa Bazzi and Olindo Romano. “In the sense that there was a rejection which currently prevents the analysis of these findings, which would have been very important to analyze in order to present the request to reopen the process together with other elements ”.
