Justice for Willy Monteiro Duarte. So begins the Send on Instagram with which the Milanese rapper of Tunisian origin, Ghali, was involved in the crime of Colleferro. 21 years – writes the singer – had intervened to calm a fight and was beaten until he could not breathe. Willy was killed by ignorance, from hatred, racism and the ideals of 4 children to which the relatives responded by saying: “He was just an immigrant”. a recurring problem in our country and it reminded me of some episodes of my life in which I narrowly escaped, in which you wait for them to tire of kicking and hitting, in which you ask for mercy and why hoping to get up off the ground.
The true criminals are others, the true athletes are others. Willy’s eyes are different. The eyes of the new generation, of those tired of fighting, of those who seek something else, of those who, unlike me and my colleagues, do not need to reiterate basic concepts like those of violence. That this is another wake-up call to how unimaginable the pain of your loved ones is. It’s selfish to take a lesson out of a tragedy, but I hope it’s for everyone. We are tired, the belated regret it’s useless in cases like this. Justice for Willy, Ghali concludes in the post.
Willy Monteiro Duarte’s death shocked the entire country, including the entertainment world. In the last few hours, in fact, through social networks in addition to Ghali there have been many singers and the artists who commented on the story and left a memory of the murdered young man: from Alessandra Amoroso to Ermal Metal, from Tiziano Ferro to Lodo Guenzi dello Stato Sociale, from Levante to Piero Pel.
