ROME. Today begins the strike of the fuel distribution plants. The stop will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the ordinary network and from 10:00 p.m. on the motorway network, and will continue until early afternoon on Wednesday 16, until 3:00 p.m. on the ordinary network, and at 2:00 p.m. on the highway.
On Friday came confirmation of the strike decided by the unions that continue to ask the institutions, in particular the Minister of Economic Development Stefano Patuanelli, to make themselves available for a discussion with the social partners after the fuel supply managers were excluded from the categories that can benefit from the support measures included in the “Refreshments Decree”. The call for moderation by the strike authority was only half accepted, with a reduction of approximately half a day in the shutdown, initially scheduled until 6 in the morning of December 17 in the ordinary network and until 7 in the network of freeways.
A first meeting with Mise’s undersecretary, Alessia Morani, was defined by the unions (Faib Confesercenti, Fegica Cisl and Figisc / Anisa Confcommercio) “encouraging” but “interlocutory”. The crux always remains the inclusion of gas stations in the categories covered by soft drinks, as happened in the first phase of the Covid-19 emergency. This exclusion, the unions announced, keeps intact the concerns “for the economic-financial stability of the efforts, called to guarantee the continuity and regularity of the essential public service.” On Monday a new meeting should be held between the parties and the government.
