An improvement in weather conditions is expected early next week, when high pressure will spread across the country, but is bound to be short-lived: the anticyclone will show signs of sinking on Tuesday, and then leave room for the passage of a new and intense disturbance expected in the middle of the week.
The weather forecast for Friday, December 11
In the morning large areas of clear sky over the north-central regions and Sardinia, but with the presence of fog in the Po Valley and in the interior between Tuscany and Umbria.
In the afternoon tendency to get worse, with weak precipitations that arrive at the regions of the northwest, snowfalls in the central-western alpine zones up to mountainous altitudes. At night it also worsens in Tuscany and Sardinia. In the south of the peninsula there are generalized rains and local showers, which diminish in the afternoon. In Sicily marked variability, with isolated showers in the Tyrrhenian sector.
Temperature: minimal decreases in the north and part of the center; decreasing peaks in the northwest, stationary or slightly increasing in the south and on the islands. Winds: moderate or tense around the main islands and the Ionian Sea; weak elsewhere. Mari: the southern basins are very rugged.
