The Rovigo retiree, with heart disease, probably died of a heart attack. Found lifeless in Selva di Cadore
Tragedy in the mountains, a local acquaintance from Rovigo found dead in his home. At around 4.30 p.m., the carabinieri from Caprile Bellunese station intervened in a private house in Selva di Cadore, in via dei Denever 3, for the death of Paolo Francesco Bariani, 71 years old, born in Rovigo where he lived in via Don Minzoni. The retiree with heart disease was on vacation in the mountains. Well known in the city, he had been a university professor. According to an initial reconstruction, it would have been a death from natural causes.
The man died at home probably as a result of cardiac arrest. The death was confirmed by the Alleghe Township Medical Guard. Later, the man’s body was transported to the Selva di Cadore morgue, at the disposal of the next of kin as ordered by the competent authority.
