Another suitcase that contained human remains, a pair of legs, was found this morning about 70 meters from where another suitcase containing the remains of a body was discovered yesterday. Yesterday’s accidental discovery gave way to scrupulous investigations by the carabinieri who, in the same land located between the Fi-Pi-Li road and the outside of the Sollicciano prison perimeter, made another macabre discovery.
In this second suitcase, according to the weapon, are the lower limbs, probably belonging to the same body of an adult man, dismembered and locked in the suitcase, found yesterday. The discovery occurred about 70 meters from each other, at the base of the road bank. In addition to the police, the prosecutor Ornella Galeotti and the coroner attended the scene.
To make the dramatic discovery yesterday it was the landowner who came across the suitcase while busy cleaning a ditch. The old man immediately alerted the police who, once they arrived, found that it was human remains in a state of saponification, perhaps due to weather conditions. It is not ruled out that both suitcases have been there for several weeks, probably lying on the highway. The carabinieri of the investigation unit of the provincial command of Florence and the Firenze Oltrarno company are conducting investigations. Meanwhile, the prosecutor has opened a murder case.
