The House of Cogne where in January 2002 Annamaria Franzoni killed his son Samuel will be seized. The couple, assisted by attorneys María Rindinella and Lorenza Parenti, argue that the house is not enforceable because it is within a capital fund, established in May 2009. Judge Paolo De Paola, however, decided to agree with Taormina. The reason is that this fund was created by her husband, as Franzoni’s guardian when it was banned after the criminal conviction – guarantee the material and moral needs of the family. The debt owed to the lawyer to defend the woman in court is also linked to family needs. If the debt has these characteristics, clarifies the judge, the fund cannot be grounds for opposition to the seizure.

At the time of the trials, it was the center of countless complaints and confrontations between experts from the prosecution and defense, bitter battles fought from courtrooms to television rooms, but also a place of mysteries never clarified about the dynamics of the murder. Franzoni returned there for a few days immediately after returning to freedom, only to later move to the Bolognese Apennines.
