Private and recreational clubs in the hands of the police. The high administrative fines imposed on those responsible for private and recreational clubs for violations found in the framework of specific controls aimed at combating illegal activities that take place in the city and province amount to more than 15 thousand euros.

Specifically, the historic centers and the places of the so-called ‘nightlife’ have ended up in the sights of the agents, being also the object of specific services to verify compliance with the anti-Covid regulations.

During the controls, administrative fines of more than 15 thousand euros were charged to the owners of some private clubs: among them, one in Zapponeta, which had transformed its business from a simple club for members and for socio-cultural activities, into a true public exercise , where any client was allowed to enter, and another club located in the historic center of Foggia.

For both, after the disclosure of the local administrative police, the suspension of the administrative activities reserved for members was ordered and the illegal administration to the public by the mayors of the municipalities of Foggia and Zapponeta ceased.

In addition, during the activity, a ‘cicchetteria’ was sanctioned without any authorization in the historic center and the closure of this activity was proposed to the mayor of Foggia.

In addition, a slot machine room located in the area of the Railway District was controlled and sanctioned, completely unattended by the owner and therefore freely accessible to anyone, even minors, and without the anti-Covid regulation being guaranteed. After the report to the Municipality, the procedure for the revocation of the gaming hall authorization began.

Finally, by the Municipality of Foggia and again on the recommendation of the Pasi Division, the procedure for the revocation of the authorization of public operation of an abusive nightclub is already subject to control and closure by this office for abusive exercise of the activity and violation of anti Covid rules.
