Fire in via Satrico: a woman dies

Tragedy in via Satrico where a woman dies after a fire in her apartment. It happened overnight in a house on the fourth floor at 11 Street in the Appio Latino district.

The call for help around 3:30 p.m. between September 21 and 22. The event was attended by the firefighters of the 3A team, the service officer and the agents of the VII Appio Group of the Local Police of Rome Capital. Once inside the house the rescuers found the woman dead in the bedroom, any rescue attempt was useless.

When the fire was extinguished, in addition to the apartment that was destroyed by the flames, a second house on the floor above the one where the fire broke out was declared uninhabitable, with the tenant finding accommodation with some relatives. To allow rescuers to intervene, via Satrico has been closed to traffic from via Acaia to Piazza Epiro.
