IN COURT – A girl from Colmurano filed a complaint and now two sub-agents are accused of embezzlement in the Macerata court
A serious accident, with three cars involved and extensive damage to the cars: from there it all started for a girl from Colmurano, now 32, who discovered she was uninsured and was seen flooding claims for compensation. The insurance that the girl had taken out and her lawyer, after having managed to fix the situation on the civil law front, had filed a complaint. The owner of the agency, who negotiated at the first hearing, and two subagents who have to answer for embezzlement ended up under indictment. The traffic accident had occurred on provincial highway 78 in 2014. The responsibility had fallen on a motorist, the police had taken the insurance data and luckily there had been no serious injuries although the cars had suffered a lot of damage. .
A few months later, however, it turned out that the girl did not have an insurance policy, despite the fact that she had paid 830 euros for the insurance. The girl’s lawyer, lawyer Leide Polci, filed a complaint at that time. Meanwhile, the insurance company Unipol Sai agreed, after several months, to make a new insurance for the girl to pay for the damages of the accident, also because the police at the time of the findings had written down the insurance coupon number of the little girl. Giuseppe Ciambechini, 42, resident of Servigliano, who entered into a plea agreement at the first hearing and who was charged as owner of Unipol Sai di Servigliano, Patrizia Verolini and Umberto Zamponi, both di Sarnano, as subagents. The trial, ongoing before Judge Paolo Properzi of the Macerata court, was postponed until April 1 for discussion. The prosecution has the support of the prosecutor Francesca D’Arienzo. Verolini and Zamponi reject the accusations and claim to have acted regularly and not have appropriated any sum. They are defended by the lawyer Luciano Magnalbò.
