Fight between life and death with burns on 90% of the body of a 15-year-old boy who, on the morning of Friday, September 25, with an extreme gesture, doused himself with gasoline and decided to set fire. This is what happened in Velletri, a town of the Castelli Romani.
The alarm was raised by the boy’s parents, who have lived and worked for years in the city outside Rome. The father, a worker, while returning home at 8:30 a.m. to take his son to school, noticed smoke rising from the backyard, then saw the macabre scene of his boy engulfed in flames.
The father did not waste a moment and with his own body tried to put out the tongues of fire, burning his hands and feet. Meanwhile, the mother of the 15-year-old asked for help. On the scene firefighters and 118 with an ambulance and a helicopter rescue.
The 15-year-old was transported to the Gemelli in Rome in very serious condition. He suffered burns to 90% of his body and the struggle between life and death. The father, on the other hand, was taken to Sant’Eugenio with burns on his lower and upper limbs.
