The helicopter arrived vertically and brought the two divers into the water, who proceeded to bring the two young men in difficulty aboard, who were brought ashore by the helicopter. Later, the two rescuers -tourists from Civitavecchia- meanwhile remained in the water with the other diver were also recovered, avoiding a tiring return to the water given the increasingly adverse sea conditions.
The two recovered survivors were assisted by the Adria fire team and medical personnel who came to the scene.
