The objective is to achieve greater vaccination coverage and provide coverage to people with higher risk factors. With increasing doses, other categories will also be vaccinated, such as people in essential services, that is, school personnel and law enforcement agencies. In the event of outbreaks in areas of the country, the vaccine stocks will be destined to areas in difficulty.
The distribution of vaccines will be carried out, Speranza explains, with the participation of the armed forces.
For vaccines that need a standard cold chain there will be a national storage site and territorial sites, for vaccines with extreme cold chain these will be delivered by the companies at the 300 vaccination points.
In the initial phase there will be centralized vaccinations in hospitals or with mobile units. It is estimated that around 20 thousand people are needed to implement the campaign and therefore existing professionals in the country will also be used with the publication of an ‘invitation’ to participate in the vaccination campaign as well as to stipulate agreements with the Ministry Research for contacts with graduate schools of medicine.
