English variant of Covid will become dominant strain in this coronavirus pandemic: says Professor Calum Semple, one of the scientists of the current scientific committee of the British government (Sage). According to Semple “the virus has the evolutionary advantage of being transmitted more quickly, in this way it will surpass all other strains”. Bottom line: being faster and more contagious, it could quickly supplant the other variants out there.
