BOLOGNA – The new regional voluntary and free screening campaign to intercept the asymptomatic and prevent the spread of outbreaks: in the pharmacies of Emilia-Romagna, quick swabs arrive at the pharmacies of Emilia-Romagna (with results in 15 minutes) for the detection of coronavirus antigen. A projection potentially aimed at 2 million citizens. For everyone, there will be the possibility of taking the test once a month. For each exam, the Region will reimburse the participating pharmacy 16.76 euros.

For whom?

The call to participate in the free screening is open to all schoolchildren and students from 0 to 18 years old and adults attending upper secondary school, with their parents (even if they are separated and / or do not live together and adoptive guardians / caregivers) , brothers and sisters and other family members who live together, as well as grandparents who do not live together; university students who have a GP in Emilia-Romagna and those who, although they attended here, attend universities outside the region. And also to the personnel of the educational services 0-3 years and to the school personnel of all levels, including the training organizations that impart the Vocational Education and Training Pathways (VET) and the students who assist them. It is the same public that has been called since mid-October to undergo the serological test – always voluntarily and free of charge – at the pharmacy: 309 thousand people who have already performed it, with 0.2% positive results after molecular swabbing of confirmation.

To take the test, just make an appointment with the pharmacist, consulting the list of affiliates on a site that will be available and constantly updated in the coming days. The pharmacist will be in charge, during the reservation phase, of informing the citizen that the activity will be carried out in self-diagnosis. In the case of minors, a parent or guardian must give their consent and be present, to perform the test on the minor.

“We leave no stone unturned to combat the virus and prevent its spread, starting with families and schools, which we have been monitoring for some time with traditional serological tests and, since mid-October, also with rapid ones. We thank the pharmaceutical trade associations and unions for the great availability shown, ”write President Stefano Bonaccini and Commissioner Raffaele Donini.
