The president of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, tested positive in the Covid-19 test carried out this morning, as a precaution, in view of the institutional appointments scheduled for the afternoon and tomorrow.
The Region communicates it with an official note.
The president, who does not present symptoms, as expected in these cases, has been placed in home isolation at his home, from where he will usually carry out administrative and regional government activities in the coming days.
“It was expected that this morning I would take the test – writes the governor on his Facebook page -, as a precaution, before some institutional appointments that I had on my agenda both early in the afternoon in Imola, for the Formula 1 Grand Prix , like tomorrow. . But unlike other controls, even recent ones, this time I have tested positive. “
“Obviously I wasn’t expecting it. Respect for the rules and normal health conditions left me calm, but the virus struck. I ask that you pay the utmost attention and scrupulously respect the rules.
