The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has announced that vaccinations against Covid-19 will begin in the EU on December 27. After European Vaccine Day, which will see eight countries symbolically begin together, the first mass vaccination session will begin in Italy from mid-January 2021, with 1,833,975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. The second supply of 2,507,700 doses will allow the second dose to be administered to priority categories in the coming weeks.
