Earthquake, shock felt in the Castelli Romani: magnitude 3 in Lariano

A seismic mini-swarm that worries. Three crashes in the space of 27 minutes, between 3 on the Richter scale of the first and 2.4 of the last. The earth shook at lunchtime, with its epicenter 3-4 kilometers northwest of Lariano, and ten deep. Scared people, someone ran into the street. No damage, at the moment there is no request for intervention to the fire brigade, but some reports, also from the south of Rome, Appio and Tuscolano. Especially precisely from Lariano, Rocca Priora, Velletri, Nemi, Rocca di Papa, Genzano, where the earthquake was felt most intensely: chandeliers that sway, shop windows that tremble, some objects fallen from the shelves. Telephone calls from anxious people also from Frascati, Lanuvio, Grottaferrata, Monte Porzio Catone and Colonna.

There was fear, even for those who live in a volcanic area, where tremors are not so rare. And where in June those who beat Bolsena and its surroundings were heard. Also in metro C, where until late in the afternoon, the technicians carried out an inspection to verify that there was no damage to the line, which extends well beyond the ring road in the direction of the epicenter. Ironically, yesterday Lariano celebrated the 53rd anniversary of the autonomy of the Velletri municipality. An anniversary that will now also be remembered for this, fortunately without serious consequences.
