An earthquake was felt today at 2:00 p.m. – Friday, August 27 – in Rome and its province when the earth shook for a few seconds. There is no damage to property or people. The INGV, the National Institute of Geology and Volcanology, has released the magnitude and epicenter: the impact was magnitude 3 and the epicenter is 3 kilometers northeast of Lariano, between Rocca Priora and Lariano, the last town south of the Castelli Romani, province of Rome. Hypocenter 10 kilometers deep.

The impact was strongly felt in Lariano and Velletri, but it was also clearly felt in the other cities of the Castelli Romani such as Ariccia, Genzano di Roma and Nemi. There is currently no damage.
