Reports from Vittorio Emanuele, D’Oria, Gobetti, Palli di Quarto and also from Sampierdarena
Genoa – This morning, problems with the reopening of many Genoese schools that housed the seats for regional elections and for the referendum for the reduction of parliamentarians: “The Municipality has not completed the sanitizations, we are forced to send some classes home ”, explained Giovanni Poggio, manager of Vittorio Emanuele in Largo Zecca.
Similar situations also occurred in D’Oria, to Gobetti and to Palli of Quarto, where the principal posted an online notice explaining that “the classrooms that house classes 2B, 3D, 5A, 1A, 1B and 5B have been extremely clean and not to guarantee the safety of students and teachers: the entrance from 9.10 am, maintained to be able to fix any detail in the cleaning and arrangement of the classrooms, was enough only to arrange the common areas and the access stairs. To protect the health of students and teachers, I am forced to fix the “non-usability” of these classes.
Same problem as Walt Disney Kindergarten in Sampierdarena, where it was not possible to return after the elections on Sunday and Monday: the clean-up has not yet been carried out and the inclusion of the youngest students is delayed; the management explained to the parents that “it does not depend on the school, but on the external company that did not carry out the sanitation.”
“They assured us that the specialized company would work if necessary even at night, guaranteeing that this morning there would be no problem – explains the director to the alarmed mothers in the yard – Unfortunately it does not depend on us, we ask for the maximum understanding. In the end, the insertions of the youngest, the three-year-olds, were carried out with little delay and in the schoolyard, as was already foreseen by the anti-contagion regulations. But the interior of the building has not been disinfected and for the classes that have to enter, we will have to wait a little longer.
The Municipality’s defense line
Contacted by the 19th century, the school’s municipal councilor, Barbara Grosso, explained that “we involve 3 companies, for a total of 72 people accredited, to complete the cleaning operations “; given the problems, the Municipality will again send the companies to complete the work.
