Dirty kitchen, irregularly stored food, alcohol for minors and poor hygiene that certainly could not go unnoticed in such a delicate period from a health point of view. This is the result of a control carried out by the local Police of Montorfano in a local food sector take in Cologne, who was sanctioned with a maximum fine of more than 12 thousand euros.

It all started on Tuesday night at 11 p.m., when the night patrol spotted children on a Cologne street near a take-out pizzeria-kebab with spirits and beers in hand. Once it was established that these were actually minor and that they had bought the bottles at resale next to it, the agents entered it to write the report for having violated the prohibition of the administration of alcohol to minors. Once inside, however, the local police led by the new commander Luca Leone could not close their eyes to the evident hygienic state in which the place was located and for that reason they wanted to see more clearly. At this point, also considering the higher level of attention in terms of cleaning public establishments in the Covid period, the agents asked the owner to open the doors of the kitchen and the warehouse, where a very poor level of hygiene was found between cold rooms, food preparation utensils and surfaces. In this case, some products were at risk of contamination (without protective films or placed in inappropriate packaging), while the processed bakery products and derivatives had no expiration date or indications on the ingredients, as well as in poor condition.

Irregularities were also found regarding Haccp’s health protocol. Thus, a fine was imposed on the business owner, which, accumulating the various infractions recorded in the minutes, amounted to 12,165 euros. At the same time, the local police made the corresponding report to the ATS.
