Piedmont from the end of November could go from the red zone, which is considered to be of the highest epidemic risk, to an orange zone or intermediate risk. It should happen on Friday, November 27, the date that marks the expiration of the two weeks with stable parameters required of the regions in order to be ‘promoted’ to an area of a different color.
What changes between the red zone and the orange zone
Movements
The biggest change, if the region were to ‘turn orange’, is the lifting of the travel ban within its municipality. In the orange zone it is always possible to circulate freely and without self-certification within the limits of the municipality where you live and respecting the curfew, which for the orange zones is still valid from 10 pm to 5 am. Also in the orange zones it is forbidden to move outside their municipality and their own region except for proven needs and reasons for work, study and health. Similar to what happens in the reds, it is still allowed to go to help a family member or friend who is not self-sufficient without time limits. Just as it is allowed to go out to “reunite minors with the other parent or in any case in the foster home, or take them with you, it is also allowed between municipalities in different areas.” All these trips – read the Faq of the Ministry – must be made in any case choosing the shortest route and complying with all health requirements. .
Shops, restaurants and shopping centers
On the other hand, bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, patisseries (with the exception of dining rooms and catering) remain closed to the public, even in the case of passage to the orange zone, which can continue to carry out only takeaway services (until 22.00 hours) and at home. Consequently, the prohibition of consuming food and beverages in the vicinity of the premises is also maintained. On the other hand, in the orange zone they can open all kinds of shops (not just food), including beauty salons and shopping centers (which, however, are closed on holidays and the day before).
Schools
There would be no changes for secondary schools and vocational schools: even in the orange zone there is 100% distance education, obviously primary and nursery schools are still open. As far as middle school is concerned, lessons should be back for sophomores and juniors as well.
Transport, sport and culture
No changes with the ‘promotion’ to the orange zone the situation of public transport, on which the 50% capacity limit is maintained. The same happens with the sports and cultural sphere: theaters, cinemas, swimming pools and gyms remain closed.
