The man, a 41-year-old resident of Peccioli, his initials SG, was subjected to the usual toxicological tests in the emergency room of the San Giuseppe hospital in Empoli. As a due act, he learned, he is under investigation for highway murder. To clarify if the heavy vehicle with the load of dirt that he was driving was allowed to go through that narrow road that would normally be out of reach of heavy vehicles of that size. Investigations are underway to try to piece together the exact dynamics of the fatal accident and its responsibilities. Meanwhile, the two vehicles were seized, both the truck and the motorcycle, trapped between the front wheels of the heavy vehicle to such an extent that a large crane was required to remove it. Via Lucardese remained closed to traffic for a long time to allow the examinations, while the body of the young man was removed and transported to the institute of forensic medicine at the Florentine hospital in Careggi.
