(WATCH THE HELP VIDEO). The drama took place shortly after one in the morning when, for reasons still under investigation, a fire broke out on the second floor of the residence “Il Capodoglio” in via Nicolini. The alarm went off and firefighters’ vehicles rushed to the scene, as did 118 ambulances and state police patrols. According to an initial reconstruction, the first to arrive at the scene were the police who tried to enter the apartment of the 37-year-old girl invaded by flames to try to free her but they had to give up. It appears that the victim tried to protect himself from the stake by locking himself in the bathroom, without windows or balconies, where he was found dead. A man who took refuge on the balcony of his house on the floor above the one affected by the flames, now completely engulfed in smoke, was rescued by a ladder truck that managed to reach the balcony and take the person to the ground for proper treatment.
