BRINDISI – Slight increase in infections in the Brindisi area. On the other hand, the number of hospitalized patients decreases. Yesterday they were 1,781, today they are 1,738. This is what emerges from the regional bulletin issued today, Sunday, December 13. In Puglia, 7,122 tests of Covid-19 coronavirus infection were recorded and 1,175 positive cases were recorded: 520 in the province of Bari, 60 in the province of Brindisi, 118 in the BAT province, 281 in the province of Foggia, 95 in province of Lecce, 92 in the province of Taranto, 3 residents outside the region, 6 cases of province of unknown residence. 23 deaths were recorded: 2 in the province of Bari, 9 in the province of BAT, 2 in the province of Brindisi, 6 in the province of Foggia, 4 in the province of Taranto.

895,620 tests have been carried out since the start of the emergency. The recovered patients are 18,892; 52,146 are currently positive cases. The total number of positive Covid cases in Apulia is 72,972, divided as follows: 27,975 in the province of Bari; 8,482 in the province of Bat; 5,375 in the province of Brindisi; 16,303 in the province of Foggia; 5,608 in the province of Lecce; 8,725 in the province of Taranto; 444 attributed to residents outside the region; 60 province of unknown residence. Asl’s Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.

The situation in the province of Brindisi

Fourteen internal medicine and 13 pulmonology patients are admitted to the Ostuni hospital. At Perrino, on the other hand, there are 16 patients in infectious diseases, 14 in pulmonology, 12 in internal medicine, 7 in resuscitation. Between yesterday and today two deaths in intensive care: a 74-year-old patient and an 81-year-old patient. The Post Covid welcomes 14 patients in Mesagne, 7 in Ceglie Messapica, 5 in Cisternino.
