During today’s State-Regions Conference, the President of the Region Vincenzo De Luca, presenting the current panorama of the health situation, made some requests to the Government.
1) With a specific amendment acquired by the Conference, the extension of parental leave was requested, with a change that leads to one hundred percent of salary, for the benefit of parents with children between zero and 16 years old.
2) In the case of the self-employed, the granting of the corresponding family premium was requested.
3) The Government was asked to adopt simple and national measures to prevent and contain contagion, aiming at the goal – which is most useful and necessary – of stopping mobility and meetings, which continues to occur. in cities, squares and in front of the sea. This is a trend absolutely incompatible with the fight against the spread of contagion.
4) The police need an extraordinary control plan to comply with the ordinances, which run the risk of becoming completely useless without such a plan.
5) Absolute contemporaneity of the Government’s measures to contain the epidemic, with those planned and announced in support of the categories already affected by the crisis, which will suffer the greatest economic repercussions.
